Governor Lamont activated Extreme Hot Weather Protocol beginning Tuesday July 15th at Noon through at least 8PM on Friday July 18th. The Wallingford Family YMCA will be available, at no cost, to all who need to take shelter from the heat. Guests may utilize YMCA facilities by showing proper identification and completing a guest form from Tuesday July 15th - Friday July 18th:
- 8 North Turnpike Road - 5AM - 8PM
- 81 South Elm Street - No Access due to Summer Camp Capacity
Additionally, cooling centers will be open throughout the state and can be located by visiting 211ct.org or Calling 211.
