The Wallingford Electric Division (WED) has been made aware that our customers are receiving collection calls from scammers. These calls originate from an 844 number, and the person(s) are demanding that the account(s) be paid in full to avoid being shut off that day.

Please note that while the WED does reach out to customers via telephone, the Division does NOT demand payment in full by the end of the day. WED employees are NOT equipped to take payment over the phone.

- Do NOT give your banking information to anyone claiming to represent the Wallingford Electric Division.
- Do NOT call the number that the individual instructs you to call. If you should receive a call from someone claiming to be with the WED and you suspect otherwise, hang up the phone and call the WED customer service at 203-294-2020.

2026 ELECTION: Discretionary Audit & Recount of 34th Senatorial District

A discretionary audit as well as a recount of the 34th senatorial district will occur Friday November 6, 2026, at Town Hall, 45 S Main Street, in the Robert F. Parisi Council Chambers beginning at 9AM. Observers are welcome.
