During this time, the Wallingford Family YMCA will serve as an official cooling center for community residents seeking relief from hazardous heat conditions. Community members may use YMCA facilities at no charge during normal business hours. Simply present a valid photo ID and complete a guest registration form.
Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours, and check on elderly neighbors, family members, and others who may be vulnerable to extreme temperatures.
