PRESS RELEASE: Mayor Cervoni Recognizes Record Month for Town of Wallingford Communications

Mayor Vincent Cervoni announced that the Town of Wallingford achieved its most successful month ever across its official social media platforms, generating more than 480,000 total views on Facebook and expanding the Town’s digital connection with residents, businesses, and community partners.

The Town’s top ten October Facebook Reels alone earned 212,958 views and reached 150,345 people, marking a milestone in community engagement and visibility.

Mayor Cervoni commended Communications Specialist Kyle Swartz for his creativity in managing the Town’s online presence. Swartz, often referred to as the Town Hall’s “social media guy,” has been instrumental in producing timely, engaging content that highlights Town initiatives, local businesses, and community events.

“Our record social media performance reflects how valuable clear, consistent communication is to the residents of Wallingford,” said Mayor Cervoni. “Kyle’s dedication and professionalism have greatly enhanced how we share information and celebrate what makes our community exceptional.”

The Town’s communications efforts continue to grow as part of an ongoing strategy to strengthen transparency, promote local engagement, and showcase Wallingford’s vitality across multiple platforms.

MAYORAL PROCLAMATION: AMERICA 250 | CT

The 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the formation of the United States of America will occur on July 4, 2026. In 2016 the United States Congress established the America 250 Commission to encourage observance of the 250 years of our nation's existence. As a result, Governor Lamont established Connecticut's Semiquincentennial Commission America 250 | CT which has engaged all 169 municipalities to execute an inclusive celebration, commemoration, and observance of the 250th Anniversary for all Connecticut residents.

Wallingford, founded in 1670, has contributed proudly and significantly to the history of our nation and our state for more than 355 years, and therefore Mayor Cervoni, has proclaimed that Wallingford will fully engage in commemorative activities leading up to and through July 4, 2026.

PRESS RELEASE: Wallingford Launches Online Bill Paying

Wallingford Town Hall has officially launched its online bill payment system, starting with taxes for real estate, motor vehicles, and personal property.

“Wallingford continues to move into the 21st century with helpful and convenient technology upgrades,” said Wallingford Mayor Vincent Cervoni. “This is a win for everyone in town, a time-saver that also improves efficiency for the tax office at Town Hall.”
