Department Responsibilities

The Tax Collector is responsible for the billing and collection of all municipal taxes. Residents may also make electric and water/sewer payments in the Tax Collection Office.

TAX PAYMENT NOTICE: Second Half Installment of Real Estate, Personal Property taxes and the Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax on the Grand List of October 1, 2024.

  • The second half installment of Real Estate, Personal Property taxes and the Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax on the Grand List of October 1, 2024 is due January 1, 2026 and payable on February 2, 2026..  Bills are not mailed out for the second installment.  Click here to read NOTICE.

The Town of Wallingford, CT is excited to offer residents an easy and convenient method to view and pay their Town Tax and Utility bills online.

Option 2: By Telephone
Town Tax Bills: Call 1-866-378-1139 and follow prompts. Fees apply*. 
Town Utility Bills: Call 1-855-771-3438 and follow prompts. Fees apply*. 

Option 3: By Mail
Mail your payment with the return envelope included with the bill. If the envelope has been lost or damaged, send your payment to:

Option 4: Payment Drop Slot
You may drop your payment off in the Payment Drop Slot located by the automatic doors at the rear of Town Hall on Prince Street.

Option 5: In Person
Please bring you bill(s) with you. You may deliver your payment to the Tax Office, Room 209 of the Town Hall.
Office hours are Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
